The Pleasant Hill Community Foundation presents its Cornerstone Award each year at the Pleasant Hill Community Awards Night to recognize people whose charitable contributions act as a “cornerstone” in building the foundation of our organization.
Past Award Winners Include:
- 2013 — Suzanne Salter for managing the donations for the Pleasant Hill Recreation and Park District’s new buildings’ furnishings.
- 2012 — Aloma Levine for her work every year in securing raffle prizes for the PHCF Golf Classic.
- 2011 — Allied Waste for their continued support of the PHCF Golf Classic.
- 2010 — Dan Stone of 360Village Interactive for creating an inviting, user-friendly, comprehensive website for the Foundation.
- 2009 — Ted Winslow was one of the founders of the Pleasant Hill Community Foundation and has been the Chief Financial Officer for many years {pictured at right}.
- 2008 — An Anonymous Donor gave a significant amount of stock that resulted in contribution of nearly $200,000. This generosity amounted to our largest individual donation of all time.
- 2007 — Tom McCracken is the former general manager of Sunvalley Shopping Center whose sponsorship of the Sunvalley Golf Classic has helped raise over $100,000 for youth programs in Pleasant Hill.
- 2006 — Dawn Block & Michael Harris funded the Tikkun Olam Education Fund to promote education and fund the Tikkun Olam Scholarships for graduating seniors of College Park High School.
- 2005 — Scott Davis is the owner of Magoo’s Grill of Pleasant Hill and has continuously been a strong supporter of the Foundation’s work.
- 2004 — Ted Fuller was a PHCF board member for many years and created the Catalyst, the Foundation’s newsletter.
- 2000 — Walter N. Smith was a generous donor to the Foundation for many years.
