    Donations can be made on via the website using a credit card or PayPal or by mailing a check to PO Box 23673, Pleasant Hill CA 94523.

    Yes, the PHCF is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization so all donations are tax-deductible.
  3. Can I set up a recurring donation?
    Yes, recurring donations can be set up on our website.
  4. Can I designate my donation for a specific cause or project?
    Yes, donations can be specified for a specific cause or project if the organization receiving the grant is a nonprofit. In fact, people can set up a donor advised fund where the donor’s contributions can be designated to fund a specific cause.

    Grant applications are made online on our website.
  2. When is the deadline to apply for funding?
    April 1 and October 1 each year.
  3. What types of projects or organizations qualify for grants?
    Educational, recreational, and cultural organizations that serve Pleasant Hill residents can apply for grants as long as they are public or nonprofit agencies.
  4. How are grant recipients selected?
    Grant applications are reviewed by our Grant Award Committee. They present their recommendations to the full Board of Directors who make the final selection of grant recipients.

    The PHCF is an all-volunteer organization. New volunteers are welcome to join one of our committees or our Board of Directors. People with a commitment and passion to the Pleasant Hill community should send an inquiry to our email at info@PHCommunityFoundation.org.
  2. Does the foundation host fundraising events?
    The PHCF hosts an annual Celebrate Your Community event to recognize our grantees and raise funds to support future grantees. In 2025, we will also be hosting a Casino Night fundraiser in conjunction with the Pleasant Hill Chamber of Commerce. See our Events page for more information.

    The PHCF is funded by donations from individuals, businesses, and organizations that share its priority of supporting the residents of Pleasant Hill. Individuals can also designate the PHCF as a beneficiary in their wills.
  2. Where can I find the foundation’s financial reports?
    The PHCF’s Forms 990 for the past three years can be viewed on GuideStar. This website provides data, facts, and insights on nonprofit organizations across the country.
